About Us

Pesantian Villa & Warung

Located in the village of Pesalakan, Pejeng, we are 20 minutes by car from central Ubud and 90 minutes from Denpasar Airport.Situated beside a running stream, rice terraces and coconut palms, Pesantian Villa and Warung is the perfect destination for those who wish to relax and unwind.Tranquility is key and relaxation immediate, as you enter the traditional turquoise doors and are welcomed by our friendly staff.This secluded, family operated 6 room villa is ideal for groups of up to 14 people who wish to reserve an exclusive booking and make the most of the private facilities and pool. Traditional Balinese life continues daily around Pejeng, where Villa Pesantian is situated. Working rice fields surround us, which complements the view from all angles. A subac (stream) meanders below the pool, while across the road there is an ever-flowing furrow of crystal clear water from the rice terraces.

The Restaurant

The Ubud Restaurant, or as we call it The Warung, meaning local, casual restaurant, on the outskirts of Ubud, boasts 180′ views of working rice paddies and serves authentic Balinese food and western fusion food.

We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner to not only our villa guests, but also to locals and visitors to our immediate area and to Ubud. Pesantian Warung is also the location for our Cooking School, catering for a group of up to 12 guests (not restricted to guests staying at Pesantian).

Pesantian Warung serves a variety of authentic Balinese dishes as well as Western fusion options. The menu includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, available to both villa guests and the general public. In addition to being a restaurant, Pesantian Warung is also a location for Balinese cooking classes led by Chef Santika.
